SAFE SURVIVOR COALITION
Strengthening coordination across systems to ensure survivors receive comprehensive, continuous care.
PURPOSE
STRENGTHENS COORDINATION
* Addresses one of the most persistent gaps in survivor support—fragmented systems—by fostering alignment across sectors.
ADVANCE INTEGRATED CARE MODELS
* Supports the development, adaptation, and implementation of coordinated, one-stop approaches, including the Safe Survivor Initiative framework.
SHARE KNOWLEDGE & BEST PRACTICES
* Creates space for partners to exchange expertise, provide technical input, and contribute to real-world application across diverse contexts.
IMPLEMENTATION & COLLABORATION
Coalition members play an active role in shaping and testing integrated care models through pilot efforts, helping ensure that approaches are practical, adaptable, and grounded in real-world conditions.
COLLECTIVE ADVOCACY
The coalition also serves as a platform for coordinated advocacy—amplifying the need for stronger institutional standards and more consistent approaches to survivor care at both national and international levels.
By connecting implementation with policy engagement, this work contributes to the evolution of global frameworks and strengthens how survivor-centered approaches are reflected in broader agendas.
SHARED COMMITMENT
Participation reflects a shared commitment to:
* Dignity in how survivors are received and supported
* Coordination across systems of care
* Long-term, sustainable impact
Together, members are contributing to systems that are not only responsive—but transformative.
SUPPORTING THE SAFE SURVIVOR INITIATIVE
Your contribution helps ensure that survivors are met with systems designed to protect, support, and respond effectively.
WHAT YOUR SUPPORT MAKES POSSIBLE
STRENGTHENING SYSTEMS
* Transitioning existing shelters into integrated, one-stop models that provide coordinated medical, legal, psychosocial, and economic support
SUPPORTING SURVIVORS DIRECTLY
* Expanding access to safe, structured environments where survivors can receive timely and comprehensive support
EQUIPPING LOCAL PARTNERS
* Providing resources and operational support to organizations delivering frontline services in high-need settings, including pilot regions in the DRC and Sudan
ADVANCING LONG-TERM CHANGE
* Refining and scaling a model that addresses systemic gaps while contributing to broader efforts to strengthen standards of care
WHY THIS WORK MATTERS
Survivors are too often forced to navigate fragmented systems that delay care, compromise safety, and limit access to justice. While many organizations are working to support survivors, gaps in coordination and infrastructure continue to undermine these efforts.
YOUR IMPACT
WITH THE RIGHT SUPPORT, THIS WORK CAN
* Enable faster access to coordinated, survivor-centered care
* Reduce retraumatization caused by fragmented systems
* Strengthen models that can be adapted and scaled across regions
SUPPORT THE SAFE SURVIVOR INITIATIVE AND HELP BUILD SYSTEMS THAT MEET SURVIVORS WITH DIGNITY, SAFETY, AND CARE.
